This is a driving position that requires operating a passenger size vehicle (NON-CDL). Drivers will assist with the day-to-day transportation of adults and students as per assigned routes.
Essential Functions
Drives responsibly and always ensures the safety of all passengers.
Follows assigned route schedule and arrives promptly for passenger pickup and returns.
Assist passengers with boarding/un-boarding vehicle; ensure passengers are in their seats/properly secured.
Ensure passengers exit the vehicle at the assigned stop.
Enter passenger attendance, contact caregivers and facilities, and send alerts and notifications through portal.
Notify and report all disciplinary, misconduct or other related incidents (student or adult) to dispatch; create incident reports in compliance portal.
Maintain consistent contact with Dispatch during transports.
Report and document accidents that occur during assigned shift.
Conduct inspections at the beginning/ end of each route.
Participate in Professional Development Training programs.
Attend mandatory staff/student meetings and conferences
Maintain professional relationships with families, students, School Team/Administrators/Case Managers.
Required Skills and Knowledge
Demonstrated knowledge of operating passenger vehicle / vehicle equipment safely and efficiently.
Obey all traffic laws, PUC , USDOT, and MC rules and regulations.
Use computer-based equipment to view GPS navigation, communicate with dispatch, update route and passenger information in portal.
Understand and follow oral and written instructions
Pre-employment Screening Requirements
Must be able to pass a US DOT Medical Certification ,10 Panel drug and alcohol screening, and Tuberculosis (TB) Test/Screening
Must have a clean background : 10 year Motor Vehicle History Check, National Background Check, PA State Police Criminal Check, PA Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Fingerprinting through Identogo (no prior convictions or felonies, DUI’s, or drug related arrests)

Qualifications (Minimum Requirements)
High school diploma or equivalent
3 or more years Professional driving experience
Safe driving history with no accidents within last 7 years
Certificates/Licenses Possession of a proper class license valid to operate a motor vehicle in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania prior to appointment and during tenure of appointment

Enter passenger attendance, contacting caregivers and facilities, and sending alerts and notifications through portal.
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
Assist with maintaining bus cleanliness and sanitization; conducting inspections at the beginning/ end of each route.
Participate in Professional Development Training programs.
Attends mandatory staff/student meetings and conferences
Promote climate of inclusivity.
Maintain professional relationships with families, students, School Team/Administrators/Case Managers.
